Just and Love

"If God were small enough to be understood, He would not be big enough to be worshipped."

This quote was in my head the entire day after small group yesterday. It was about suffering and i know i was suffering, but i never tried to understand why God does these things. I don't even want to understand why God does such things, but i know he has his reasons. it's all in the plan.

God is Just... God is Love...
yesterday our bible study was debating on God being both just and loving, and why we have to go through so much suffering and pain if he's loving.. but just. Thinking about it, God has his reasons and he doesn't have to tell you his plans. Sometimes i feel like ohman, God help me _____... and he doesn't respond and help me. but eventually, i'll just brush it off. I never really thought about this, until yesterday. He doesn't need to give us a reason, after all, he is BIGGER than us. Patsy's questions were a bit wrong, yet in a different perspective. it felt like the chicken and the egg concept. i couldn't seem to think of an answer or a response to the questions she asked. i was just going to say, we should just live by faith... and just know that God has his plans. Sometimes, struggles trigger faith. and that's where many people, including me, fall. And sometimes, I forget about God's great love. Like, he has his reasons, but we can be very stubborn and can't accept the fact that we're struggling, and God should've done something about it. He does things and has a reason behind it, but he loves us, which is shown through his unforgettable sacrifice.

It's funny how i read Hebrews 12, like a few weeks ago. but i forgot all about it.. however, yesterday when i turned to it, it was completely marked up with postits. i totally forgot, how much i struggled last month. and i tried to find strength-faith building verses, and it was all in Hebrews 12. But now, i'm better and still seeking for strength.

Hebrews 12:5-6
5And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons:
"My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline,
and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
6because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."
